Laser enable pin issue

Hello there.

I'm trying to use the Repetier Firmware with a laser for the first time.
I'm using RAMPS 1.4.
I have powered the laser properly.
Set M452
M3 then moved but nothig happens.
Firstly I chose digital pin 1 (in aux 1) nothing
digital pin 0 (in aux 1) nothing.
digital pin 4 (in servos) laser flashes very fast at movement start (servo support are activated)
I chose digital pin 63 (in aux 2) then it started working.

Questions:
1. Why I cant choose pin 0 or 1?
2. Can I activate the laser in FFF mode? (M451)
3. Can I activate the laser with the printer stoped? (just curiosity)
4. How can I have PWM for the laser? It says to use a driver, but I dont know how.

Hi,
Just had this issue, maybe more than once now. Just got up after printing overnight and the repetier server web interface was not responding and the print was not finished. I thought it had locked up completely (I have had this before) but the printer is still printing but it looks like it gets a command every 10 seconds or more. Any ideas?

Hi, Still struggling with laser.

When manually moving laser head with G1 laser is on 
When manually moving laser head with G0 laser is on

What i did.
* replaced arduino mega
* tried older firmware
* tried older version repetier host
* assigned different pin for laser TTL output, laser on when pin is high
* erased eeprom from arduino multiple times before uploading new firmware
* deleted directories before installing new firmware/software
* delete all repetier files in c:\users\my name\local
* ran CCleaner to clean up my reg file

even after all these steps no improvement.

Still when I start repetier host a list of flies I printed shows up ??

I want to install everything from scratch, maybe the only solution?
How to delete all files from repetier host, server, eeprom, registry etc. zo I can start a complete clean installation

Hello, I am currently converting my Davinci Jr. 1.0 to use the Repetier Host. I am having a couple problems with getting the extruder fan, and extruder itself to turn on. I am using a ramps 1.4 board as well and the power supply that came with the Davinci printer. I am able to get the board to connect to the printer using the 11500 baud rate. But when I go to test to see if the extruder and fan heat up I get the error the a heater is decoupled. I copied over the entire log from the software for anyone to look at. My connections all seem solid, so I am not sure what the issue could be. If any additional info is needed, please let me know. Thank you in advanced!

Repetier Informer - Reboot ?

Hallo, Repetier Server ist eine geniale Software, leider kann ich das man dem 
Repetier Informer nicht sagen. Die Bewertungen im PlayStore spiegeln das ganze
ja wieder. Keine/Kaum Updates und lieblos umgesetzt. Keine Vergleich zb mit 
Printoid, welche leider nur für Octoprint verfügbar ist (welches ich nicht einsetzen möchte).

Frage also, kommt da mal was neues oder verstaubt der Informer?

Hello, Repetier Server is an ingenious software, unfortunately I can do that
about Repetier Informer. The reviews in PlayStore reflect the whole
again. No updates and loveless implemented. No comparison eg with
Printoid, which unfortunately is only available for Octoprint (which I do not want to use).

So, is there anything new or dusty of the informer?

I have looked around trying to find out how steppers are controlled and would welcome some GOOD advise.  I  mean good, because the internet contains a minefield of very bad advise and information and you must be very careful what to take for correct or not.
Here goes...
I used a stepper SL 42STH40-1204A.  These are, as far as I know, and stand to be corrected, 12V and 1.2Amp rated.
always had drivers fan cooled.

I set up the first 3d printer using Ramps and the Polulu driver A4988 and encountered skipping of steps during print in one axis. 
Then a supplier suggested we go for the DRV8825.
When I assembled the first board with the DRV8825,  only one or two  motors would turn and severely over heat! and I mean overheat!  and start loosing steps indiscriminately.
It seems that the current limiter is open.
so what I did, I clamped the motor and set the current to 0.7 Amp. 
I found out, that the motor will start making abnormal noise over 0.7 Amp, overheat and even skip steps and go berserk.  So found convenient to clamp the motor leads and set the current to this. 
I also discovered that with the DRV8825, I hat to double the steps per mm of each axis and extruder motors.

Ramps Boards are dubious in origin and there are a lot of poor clones with poor performance.  I have now gone for the static boards, the arduino supplied by them, their DRV8825 and even the Trinsmics.  I am waiting for the stuff.
Also had two or three Mega 2500 of chinese origin destroyed at their own accord.

Can somebody give me some more guidance if I am right on track or not?

My sensor is behind the hotend and to the right of it. so I have configured it that way, but nevertheless, it throws me "Error: the activation of the probe z would result in a prohibited position and x: -39.000000, 17.00" when x is positive in my configuration.

In the code from "BedLeveling.cpp" line 516, I can see that "Printer :: currentPosition [X_AXIS]" is zero. therefore, "Printer :: currentPosition [X_AXIS] - ZPOffsetX" = -39

the only but wrong way I found to make it work was setting offset_x to 0, and probe_x to 0. Can you help me? below I leave a copy of my configuration.

Hallo 

hat der Repetier Server eine Funktion um einen einfachen Mikrotaster
als Filamentsensor zu nutzen (soll an den Pi angeschlossen werden).

Filamentende -> Druck Pause / Heizbett anlassen -> Filament wechseln -> Druck fortsetzen

Das ganze am besten so, dass das Nozzle nicht in den Druck bei wiederaufnahme fährt.

Not sure if this is going to make sense
I design (on Laptop) using RS design Spark mechnical
Export as STL file
Then use Cura (on Laptop) to slice & save GCode

I run Repetier Server on  Raspberry Pi 3+
So I upload Gcode to that & then drive the printer from there

In Cura I can set Printer profile including speeds for top/bottom layers walls & infills

When I print there does NOT seem to be any speed variation
So I am assuming that the Printer settings in Repetier Server are overriding anything that comes from Cura

Is this correct
Can I do anything about this

<Babystep not working> Firmware Repetier 0.92.9, babystep works on 128x64 controller, but not works on Pi 3 (Z no move when touch).
<Language Chinese abnormal> When change language to Chinese, all words on screen change to block.

Print doesn't start with Ultimaker 2+ Ex

Hi,
I was able to establish a connection between repetier on a Pi3 and the Ultimaker 2+ Ex. I was able to see the temperature and to move the extruder. But when I tried to start a print, nothing happend.

The console gave me that:
Warning: Communication timeout - resetting communication buffer.

My settings:
baud: 250000
firmware: Marlin

Melzi V2 Tronxy X1 firmware not working

Hi, i bought a new Melzi board as a replacement for the original one, i had no problems flashing the bootloader trough SPI and no problems running some test code (i wrote a simple code to turn on and off a pin and checked it with the oscilloscope, so the micro is indeed kind of working and the code uploads fine). My issue starts after the firmware is uploaded , i get nothing on the LCD and the "debug" LED is constantly on. I downloaded this firmware from Github (https://github.com/dennistimmermann/tronxy-x1_repetier) already configured for the Tronxy X1, but i'm wondering if maybe it have the wrong pinout for my specific board.

What I understand :
cura 4.0 has many options for the parameter: "g-code flavor" . RepetierServer : not 
cura 4 e.g. has the Ultimaker 2 option RepetierServer : not 

thats means it depends on the options which are set ,  if UM2+ printer works correctly

Which option/parameter  did you choose for Cura and Repetier so that the result is the same like I'm just working with the SD card. ??

( maybe G-Code flavor marlin works better than RepRap if configured on Cura also on repetier) 

Repetier Server with Hyperpixel 4 touchscreen?

Has anyone had any luck using the Pimoroni Hyperpixel 4 with Repetier Server?  The Hyperpixel install script works just fine on a standard Raspbian install, but for some reason when I run it on the Repetier Server Raspberry Pi image, the display refuses to work, despite the install script completing without error.  There's something in the Repetier Server image that disagrees with the Hyperpixel, but I have no idea what.  Any ideas?

Adding a „script“ in Homing process

Hey all of you,

since I‘m using a button / switch between the bed and the nozzle for z homing I‘m looking for a way to get to Z=0 in the homing process. 
Right now I‘m using 0.92 and have a starting script in the beginning of every gcode that moves the bed down, homes, moves the head aside and then moves the bed up to printing height (below 0 in the z axis)
This results in negative z values shown everywhere which I don’t mind so much but isn’t nice.

Waht I’d love to have is a sort of script not embedded in the gcode but the firmware so nothing happens when using the wrong gcode.
1.0.x has the feature to move the bed down before homing but with this version I can’t move below 0 in the z axis. I assume there is an option to turn this behaviour on and off?

Is there a way to implement the print head moving aside after touching the switch and then moving the bed up as part of homing so the z koordinates are right and there is no way to forget the right script at the start of a print file? 
(Sending G92 Z0 at the end of my script does not do the trick.
